If you haven't ever spent time with a couple on the verge of a miracle, you must! This weekend I got to take photos of a couple who were a little nervous at first... but as they warmed up to me I saw his unconditional kindness and love to her and their bundle of joy. I watched his eyes light up as she told him,"He's kicking!" Their laughter and excitement was incredible to capture. Congratulations! I can not wait to see your little boy!

Long winter months...

Thursday, March 24, 2011

Winter has seemed to press on and on. I long for the warmth of the sun on my skin and the feeling of grass between my toes. Can I even remember wearing shorts? I have tried to put my winter coat away several times with no avail. I find myself peeking through the window each morning craving spring in all its warmth and colors. I just can't seem to enjoy the wet snow or the freezing wind I am greeted with every morning. Saturday started out much the same... I bundled up, trying to find warmth. My scarf was already starting to itch and as I tried giving my neck some relief, my hair stood on end from the static of my worn gloves. However, I braved the cold for an adventure with my camera.

This couple has been a blessing in our lives this past year and have become our dear friends. I am so grateful for their willingness to venture out with me in the unforgiving cold. They were brave and confident throughout the whole shoot. Within minutes all my pre-shoot jitterbugs vanished as their confidence in me spread. It was so fun to spend a few minutes with them. Their laughter was so contagious and they were amazing models. I hope you enjoy their photos as much as I did taking them!

Where to begin...

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Ever since I can remember I have documented my life through photos. I was never very good at journal writing, but when I take a trip down memory lane with my photos, I can tell you millions of stories with a single snap shot. When I met my prince charming, he encouraged me to do what I love and I found that all I wanted to do was play with photos, if that was editing, organizing, blogging or being behind the camera, it all had to do with photos. He decided it was a wise investment to purchase a better camera so that I could improve and expand. Little did he know what that would come to. Although he is tired of my constant reminder to smile, he never stops encouraging me to do what I love and this is what I love.
